Hello everyone,
Here is something that was posted at the Tweet:
1. To help Twitter in recovering from the Denial-of-Service attack, we have paused all Twitter account automation. In other words, at present no new follower checking is being done, keyword alerts are paused, etc.
2. To avoid a small avalanche of tweets posted on your Twitter account when service resumes, we are placing all non-recurring scheduled tweets & DMs into a red error condition as soon as their scheduled times have gone more than two hours into the past. You can either reschedule them or delete them. There is a bulk delete of errored tweets under Tweets, Delete in the menu.
3. The scheduled dates of recurring tweets are being advanced as normal, except they are not being published to Twitter during the outage.
4. Publishing of tweets to Ping.fm is proceeding as normal, which means your Facebook status updates are unaffected by the outage.
5. You may not be able to add a Twitter account or edit your Twitter account at present (it might work or it might not because the API is very unreliable at the moment). The system will tell you your credentials are invalid, but it's because it couldn't check them against the API.
6. Features such as TweetCockpit, @Mentions & Retweets, DM Manager, Vet Friends/ Followers, etc., may also be crippled by the API's unresponsiveness.
7. We will remove this notice message as soon as we get the thumbs up from Twitter that they have fully recovered from the attack and we have resumed normal service.
8. The attacks on Twitter are ongoing and are intensifying and there is no ETA on when these issues will be fixed. We also posted an update on our blog. These attacks appear to be geopolitical in motivation.
Sincerely,
Kethy in Tweet Following Support Team
